Alerting Sales Owners when Companies in their Territory are showing intent

Users can set up a HubSpot workflow so that Account Owners are notified whenever a net new account in their territory is added to HubSpot via Buyer Discovery.

Here are the steps (will need to repeat for each territory):

  1. In your HubSpot instance, click on Automation, then Workflows

  2. In the Workflow page, click on Create workflow, then From scratch

  3. In the Workflow setup page, click Company-based, then click Blank workflow, then Next

  4. On the Workflow creation page, click Set up triggers

  5. On the enrollment triggers pane, select Company properties, then Buyer Discovery: Purchase Intent is equal to any of “High” or “Very High”, click apply filter, then click Save

  1. Still on the enrollment triggers pane, click AND, select Company properties, then Company owner is unknown

  1. Still on the enrollment triggers pane, click AND, select Company properties, then State/Region is equal to any of, and the states in this specific territory

  1. On the workflow creation page, click the plus button to add an action

  2. On the Create an action page, select the Send internal email notification button

  1. On the send internal email notification page, select Sent to existing owners as the specific territory’s owner, and then personalize your message to the Contact owner in the Subject and Body sections, and click Save

  1. On the workflow creation page, click Review and publish, and then click Turn on

This will notify a Sales territory owner as soon as a new account showing high Buyer Discovery intent is found in their territory.
